Golden Globes - It’s always my favorite award show and with Tina Fey and Amy Poheler it continued its award show reign. There was just too much perfection in three hours, but luckily Buzzfeed highlighted the Best 20 Moments on the show.
There were a few surprises (Django Unchained winning Best Screenplay over Silver Linings) but overall Adele won, Argo won, Jennifer Lawrence won, and the SNL hosts were hilarious.
Emmy’s better watch their back…
SWATH’s Prince William (aka Sam Claflin) stopped by Cambio’s studios to talk all the twists and turns and the new take on the classic Snow White tale.
He’s not only a cute, but his British accent will make you swoon!
Just Jared Jr has the first look at Debby Ryan’s Private Practice episode. Debby plays Hailey, that series regular Amelia meets in rehab. The episode airs November 17th. But Debby is currently playing the title character Jessie, one of Disney channel newest series.

Tonight Fox’s original series Glee pushes the boundaries, Lea Michelle even told E! Online that there was a mini competition heading up between the two couples:
“When Cory and I were doing our scene, the crew came up to us and they were like, ‘Look. We just want you to know that Darren and Chris were really hot. They went for it,’” she tells us. “So I was like, ‘Listen, Monteith. We’ve got to do better than them. We’ve got to turn these people on! And we have to top those boys!’ Poor Cory. But it was great. It really was.”
Also in this episode - the musical West Side Story premieres.
Conan celebrates his one year on TBS by going back to the Big Apple. For this week Conan is filming in the Beacon theatre seating 2800 people per night. So far his skits are proving that even though Coco currently resides in Los Angeles, his heart is in New York.
He makes pizza, delivers Chinese food, drives a pedicab, visits old friends at the Today Show, plays chess and b-ball, if that’s not New York I don’t know what is.
In addition his Battle of the Buildings shows just how pathetic Hollywood is with their Scientology bookshop on Pico.
With all of these sketches it proves two things.
1. Conan doesn’t take himself too seriously, something that all good hosts need. It’s about the audience being entertained. I was dying laughing during the Chinese food bit.
2. New York trumps LA. The nightlife, architecture, just the overall feel of the city is unique.
His guests are the same as LA, but I loved Jimmy Fallon talking about Late Night, and how his parents watch every night - a very endearing trait. Jimmy has definitely kept the essence of Conan’s old show but vamped it up with fun games like ‘Water War’ and ‘Charades’ with his guests.

Being sick sucks, but on the upside it gives me a chance to see what daytime tv has to offer. Now in high school I got caught up in NBC’s soap opera Passions, or the travel channel.
Today is no different as the first thing I see is Walt Disney World Resort: Behind the Magic and I’m learning about the building of the park. In the Magic Kingdom you’re 14 feet above the ground. Is it true that there’s secret tunnels underneath the park - I think so.
I also learned that ABC Family has started re-running Gilmore GIrls at 11am. There was a hiatus for a while (they also stopped airing FNL after a season but that’s another story)
But the final winner of the day - FRIENDS. Even years after the sitcom ended, jokes are still funny, plot lines are still interesting, and that’s why I think TBS, CW, and other networks have invested hour slots with the sitcom classic.
While strolling through my daily TV sites (EW, MTV, TV Guide, etc) I saw ‘TV Worth Watching Tuesday’ on TVLine, which is one of my favorite sites thanks to the EIC Michael Ausiello who was one of my entertainment guru’s back in his EW days.
10 pm Covert Affairs (USA Network) | Midseason premiere: Coming off a run of bad luck (including getting the boot from her sister’s home), Annie unwittingly gets sucked into a new assignment when she meets a chef (Heroes‘ Santiago Cabrera) who cooks the future!!! No, actually it’s just Spanish food. On the subject of eye candy, the ladies get much shirtless, sweaty Jai, while the guys get Annie wielding [swoon] power tools. - Matt Webb Mitovich
It highlighted USA’s Covert Affairs starring Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham. Now I have no clue on what the show is about but I love both Piper from her Coyote Ugly days and Christopher from his Popular/Ugly Betty days.
I’m pretty sure I’ll start watching since USA has some other solid shows on record - Pysch and Monk being two I enjoy. So is it worth watching? Let me know because my interest level is up.
The Slutty Pumpkin mystery is solved in this week’s Halloween episode of How I Met Your Mother. Katie Holmes guest stars as the long lost costume girl that turns out to be the worst match for Ted. I did appreciate her random outbreak into song - Barenaked Ladies will never be the same.
Lily & Marshall are visiting Lily’s grandparents who are notorious for giving them things they don’t need. This time they give them a house in the suburbs. With a baby on the way ‘they’re moving to the suburbs baby’ due to pregnancy brain. She abuses Halloween trick or treaters to get Marshall on board
Barney learns he’s 1/4th Canadian - and Robin is not letting that one die. His costume - a Canadian office but Barney decides to show up as an American boxer.
All in all it was a solid HIMYM episode. - B
